Amy Thompson is one of the rising stars of EGHC's Womens 1st Team. Having joined EG when she was 16 and broken into the 1st team, Amy returned to EG as a guest player in the Indoor League during January 22, winning the Premier League at Copper Box Arena. Graduating from Nottingham University in summer 2022 having won BUCS (the British Universities and Colleges title), she rejoined East Grinstead for the 2022/2023 Season alongside several other new and returning players.
In April 2023, Amy was part of the squad that ended Surbiton's run of titles, winning the Premier League. During the most recent season, Amy has again been part of an EG squad that won the national Indoor title, this time in the Midlands, and represented EG in the Euro Hockey League in Amsterdam over Easter.
Amy has represented England age age group levels and also has England U23 Caps. Check out the photos and video clips to see her in action alongside her team mates from East Grinstead's Womens 1st Team.
Widely regarded as one of the breakout players of the Euro Hockey League, Amy is looking forward to more success with EG and to helping our bright young Juniors develop their game.
